Come grape-hunting with us and discover a world of Algavian wines! We've combined curated wine tastings with a riverside gourmet picnic and visit to one of the regions most stunning waterfalls...
Quinta do Sol
We'll begin our journey with a visit to one of the Algarve's most exciting new wineries. Nestled among the vines and oriented toward the southern sun, with cool Atlantic breezes, you'll sit, and enjoy three of their signature wines each with a small explanation of how they came to be. The wines are served with fresh bread and olive oil.
Alte - Gourmet Picnic
Next, we journey through countryside filled with vines and orange groves to Alte, one of the most typical and unspoiled villages in the region.
- There you'll enjoy a riverside picnic of traditional Algarvian fare with local wine and beer pairings
- Alte is renowned for its natural springs, you can even enjoy a refreshing swim in the stone clad pools
- We will then visit the nearby Queda do Vigário waterfall ,a 24m drop over the cliffs into a deep pool shaded by fig trees.
Quinta Dos Vales
We'll finish our journey with a visit to Quinta Dos Vales a stunning winery where you can explore their beautiful landscapes gardens and indulge in an (optional) extra wine tasting..
Price and important information
- 5 hour tour Monday to Fridays only
- 75 Euros per person
- Pick up by pre arrangement in Carvoeiro & Lagoa area (Please contact us if you require a different pick up place)
- Your friendly guide will speak English & Portuguese
- Tour is in a comfy air-conditioned van with snacks and soft drinks provided
- Wine tasting at Quinta do Sol is included
- Gourmet picnic with wine and beer pairings is included
- If you wish to swim please bring your swimsuit and towel
- Optional wine tasting at Quinta dos Vales is not included
